As the opening keynote speaker, he highlighted the value of an entrepreneurial education and entrepreneurial experience for young people as he addressed an eclectic group of government officials, directors of small business development centers and academics in a variety of fields like finance, marketing, management and economics, united by their common interest in entrepreneurship and small business.

DSEF, a gold conference sponsor, is in its ninth year of a successful strategic partnership with USASBE, showcasing the direct selling industry to the nearly 700 members who belong to the organization and attend its annual conference. DSEF Executive Director Charlie Orr, Program Director Robin Diamond, and special guest, Elizabeth Owen, DSEF Board Member and Executive Director of the National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators (NACAA), attended the event as representatives of the organization.

“DSEF’s highly visible sponsorship of the USASBE annual meeting was a very good thing for our industry,” said Dan Moore. “Many of the delegates are college professors who shape opinions and impact the choices made by our future generations of leaders. I urge members of our industry to look for opportunities to join DSEF in promoting greater understanding of direct selling to professors and students through sharing their real-world experiences in classrooms and symposia like this one.”

The annual USASBE conference focuses on the sharing of best practices in entrepreneurship education and program development, with recognition given annually to the model academic programs, pedagogy and outreach efforts in the United States.
